So, I get rid of one scam artist, but there are a lot more out there! Now, I am not calling everyone that tries to contact me one, but I have witnessed some doozies.
For instance, I had this one person that seemed to be truly excited about my book, and I am pretty sure he read it, but then, “the big lie” rang out, very loud and clear! He was going to promote my book through a book trailer. Sounds good, but is it real? I asked him for some references to reach out to because he claimed to be their road to overwhelming success in marketing their books in a very short period of time. He supplies me with three references and their e-mails. Sure. I looked up their profiles first, and what do I find out? They have already been successful for years and years. I gave him a little homework to do while I “contacted” them. I asked him to please review my book. “Ah, ok,” he said. Nope, never did.
Why do people lie? This particular person, I found trolling on All Authors, but as far as a profile of him? I could not find one anywhere!
Anyway, on another note, I just published the fifth book in my series, But, I’m Just a Kid… All Alone. I hope others like it as much as I liked writing it.
In it, Jin tells the tale of his completely dysfunctional family and how his life is eventually turned around with the help of his new and wonderful friends. The hope of happiness he so desperately seeks begins to look like it could actually become his reality.
